Youth With A Mission (YWAM) is an international volunteer movement of Christians from many backgrounds, cultures and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving the youth of the world. The Dallas chapter, simply known as YWAM Dallas, is located in East Dallas, and has been ingrained in the community for almost twenthy five years.

YWAM was established in 1992 when the mobile team know as 'The Reach Team' permanently relocated to our east Dallas. The property that is now our office was given to us at that time and our team transitioned to doing urban outreach fulltime. From humble beginnings in the front room of our office building our ministry programs have grown to involve dozens of people in different types of groups that meet weekly. In 2001 we were miraculously given money to buy the building across the street which now is our 'Timothy House'. We have experienced God's great faithfulness over many years and look expectantly to what he is going to do next.

Dallas is a major city in the state of Texas. The city proper ranks ninth in the U.S. and third in Texas after Houston and San Antonio. The city's prominence arose from its historical importance as a center for the oil and cotton industries, and its position along numerous railroad lines. The bulk of the city is in Dallas County, of which it is the county seat; however, sections of the city are located in Collin, Denton, Kaufman, and Rockwall counties.

Located in North Texas, Dallas is the main core of the largest metropolitan area in the South and the largest inland metropolitan area in the United States that lacks any navigable link to the sea. Dallas and nearby Fort Worth were developed due to the construction of major railroad lines through the area allowing access to cotton, cattle, and later oil in North and East Texas. The construction of the Interstate Highway System reinforced Dallas' prominence as a transportation hub with four major interstate highways converging in the city, and a fifth interstate loop around it. Dallas developed as a strong industrial and financial center, and a major inland port, due to the convergence of major railroad lines, interstate highways, and the construction of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, one of the largest and busiest airports in the world.

Learn about our Ministries

YWAM Dallas operates weekly bible clubs, summer camps and a discipleship house to reach people, train them in the ways of God and see them sent to fulfill their destiny. God has called us to restore, raise up and repair people. To do this we operate weekly bible clubs that reach out to those who do not know God or attend any kind of church. We reach out to international students through one to one bibles studies at the University of Texas at Dallas. We disciple people on a deeper level by having His Girls group and Men of God group. We send people through our Timothy House and short term mission trips. Look below to see more about these ministries.

The work being done at YWAM Dallas is quiet, deliberate, consistent, hard, not glamorous and very much life-changing. I`ve observed first-hand both the work and the fruit. Generations of the predominately poor Hispanic community of East Dallas ar seeing their family lines changed forever as Jesus is transforming lives both young and old. It's a beautiful thing to behold and to be a part of.
